Blü World Inspired, a leading creative marketing agency in the Reno, Nevada area, has been helping small and medium sized businesses attract and communicate more efficiently with their customers since 2012.
Blü World Inspired was born in October of that year, when young college students Trevor DeRuisé and Sierra Davies put their brains and skill sets together to solve a problem. Trevor’s experience with entrepreneurship and marketing, coupled with Sierra’s creative talents and freelance design background were the foundation of Blü World at its inception.
The goal then was the same as it is now: To help businesses market themselves in ways that align with current technology and trends, and to do so while providing unparalleled service and care.
Blü World always takes the time to get to know you and your business inside out, so that we can better serve your needs and make suggestions. Every marketing plan, from simple logo designs, to cross-media marketing campaigns, is custom-tailored to serve your business’s core goals.
Blü World Inspired cares deeply about this community. We think it is a wonderful place to work and live, and we want to take part in making the Northern Nevada community as great as we all know it can be!
We donate our time and marketing know-how to the following non-profit organizations that are doing their part to make Northern Nevada a better place.
Reno Tahoe Junior Cycling (RTJC) is a non-profit organization started in 2012 by professional mountain bike rider and Blü World co-owner Trevor DeRuisé. When Trevor started racing bikes as a teenager, he saw a hole in the market for youth cycling, and often wondered why there were no strong programs or coaching services available to youth cycling in the area. After all, Northern Nevada has more miles of trails than many of the top mountain biking destinations in the country! So, Trevor decided it was time to change all of that.
RTJC is making a huge difference in our community and has plans to get even more kids involved in the sport of cycling and build a community around the sport. Visit the RTJC website to learn about their elite race team and community club-team rides!
We help RTJC by managing their website, creating and printing marketing materials from business cards to 10ft tents. We also help them with their event photography and event management, especially for their annual clinics and weekly rides.
Awaken is a non-profit started by Melissa Holland that is making huge strides for this community. Awaken’s core goal is to end sex trafficking, first locally and then on a larger scale.
Awaken uses donations and fundraisers to put in the infrastructure needed to rescue girls from trafficking. They have accomplished so much in the few years since their inception, including helping to get legislation passed and providing housing, counseling and other crucial services to local girls rescued from the trade.
We help Awaken by serving as Creative Director. We help them manage their marketing image by creating or approving consistent branding. We also advise them on marketing strategies and help them promote their organization and events.
After all, have you ever met an entrepreneur who wears only one hat?
While Trevor still helps advise Blü World, cycling remains his focus. He has come a long way in the past few years and is now fully sponsored by KTM Bike Industries as their first and only professional mountain biker in North America as the Austrian company breaks into the North American market.
Head over to Trevor’s website to keep up with his racing schedule and gorgeous photos of his bikes!
Together, Trevor and Sierra travel often for his racing schedule which starts in March and goes through late fall. Last summer, the pair packed up their lives and businesses, including Blü World, to travel across the continent for a 3-month long race circuit.
After some unique, sometimes funny and sometimes scary travel experiences, friends of the duo were urging them to write a book about their experiences. After first laughing it off as a possibility for the far-away future, the two seriously considered the possibility of writing a book.
We’ll let the book tell the rest of the story. Grab a copy of Project VanLife and be inspired by the young entrepreneurs as they learn, struggle, and triumph while living in and running businesses out of a van.
